Katy’s Report Part 3: Climbing Outdoors 2005

I got quite a lot of good outdoor climbing done; Trad and Sport. I went away with the Junior Climbing Team to Font at Easter 2005. Although it rained quite a lot we still got some problems done and had a good time. I managed to complete the Cul du Chien roof after many years of trying it!!! I went down to Portland in the Summer of 2005 and got some great sport routes done in the Sun. I also did some deep water soloing too. I flashed Freeborn Man E4 6a and ticked a few E2’s and E3’s whilst there. I also got out to Banford Edge during the summer and did an E3 5c which I was pleased with.   In 2006 I have been sport climbing in Costa Blanca, Spain and managed to red point 7b+. I am looking forward to the summer too as I will be going to France for two weeks of bouldering and sport climbing fun!
