| I think my pet Marmot has a fault, can I send it back to you? |
|
As Marmot distributors for the UK, Mountain Works Ltd. are happy to help end users and retailers alike in all aspects of warranty and aftercare. Marmot warrant every product they make to be free of manufacturer defects. Normal wear and tear, modifications, alterations, negligence, damage and use for a purpose other than for which it was designed, are not covered by the Marmot Warranty. If you believe you have a faulty item then simply return it to the retailer from where you purchased it along with proof of purchase. They will be able to make an assessment and in many cases, it will be something that can be resolved in the shop. However, sometimes they will need to send it away for further inspection either to ourselves as Marmot distributors in the UK or W.L. Gore in the case of Gore-Tex waterproof clothing. We will either repair, replace or credit the retailer should the item be warrantable. Ah and don't forget to clean your Marmot product before returning it to the shop otherwise they might turn you away! Why can't I send it directly to Mountain Works Ltd? Well you can, but the reason we discourage people from sending items direct to us is that it limits the possible solutions to the problem. For example, if an item is more than 6 months old, it is likely that that particular style or colour is nolonger available. In this situation Marmot can only provide a replacement which is the nearest current equivalent. This may not best meet your needs. So why can't you repair it instead? If we can we will but all Marmot garments are made to a very high standard involving many complex stages which are done in a set order. Often the complexity of the repair makes it impossible to attain the standdard to which Marmot have come to expect. Okay, so can I have a credit or my money back instead? Unfortunately if the replacement stock is not available we can only issue a credit to the retailer. |
