I have a problem with my product, can I send it back to you?

Marmot UK are happy to help end users and retailers alike in all aspects of warranty and aftercare.

Marmot warrant every product they make to be free of manufacturer defects - Normal wear and tear, modifications, alterations, negligence, damage and use for a purpose other than for which it was designed, are not covered by the Marmot Warranty.

If you believe you have a faulty item then simply return it to the retailer from where you purchased it along with proof of purchase. Ah and don't forget to clean your Marmot product before returning it to the shop otherwise they might turn you away! The retailer will be able to make an assessment and in many cases, it will be something that can be resolved in the shop. Sometimes they will need to send it away for further inspection either to ourselves or W.L. Gore in the case of Gore-Tex waterproof clothing so ensure you are prepared to be without your garment or peice of equipment for a short period of time.

If there is a manufacturing fault, we will repair or replace the item. In some instances this is not possible so we will refund the retailer.

Why can't I send it directly to Marmot UK?

Well you can, but the reason we discourage people from sending items direct to us is that it limits the possible solutions to the problem. For example, if an item is more than a year old, it is likely that that particular style or colour is no longer available. In this situation Marmot can only provide a replacement which is the nearest current equivalent - It may be slightly different to the one you had in colour or style. Whereas a retailer may offer to give you a credit to spend on another equivalent item from their stock. If you understand these restrictions and would still prefer to deal with us direct then that is no problem. Simply send the clean item along with a note explaining as much as possible about the probelm to:

Can I specify a replacement rather than repair?

You can certainly inform us of your prefered course of action but we will always look at repairing an item or component before replacing. Marmot garments are made to a very high standard involving many complex stages which are done in a set order. Often the complexity of the product construction makes it impossible or too expensive to carry out a satisfactoy repair so we will replace it instead.

Can I just have a credit or my money back instead?

No, sorry, we can only issue refunds to companies/individuals that purchased the item direct from us (i.e. Outdoor retailers). If that is your desired outcome then you must approach them first.
