Congratulations go to Marmot sponsored athlete, Katy Whittaker this week for she has lead another E7 6c. Katy now has three gritstone E7 6Cs to her name so one can’t call it a fluke performance. The others, which were also ‘headpoints’ (after top rope practice) are:

Kaluza Klein (E7 6c)

Braille Trail (E7 6c)

She also ‘flashed’ (no top rope inspection) not too long ago, Nosferatu (E6 6b). This latest route was first lead by Johnny Dawes in 1984. It is called Braille Trail and can be found at Burbage in the English Peak District. A traditional route with not so traditional ‘protection’ including the use of a metal door handle.
