Tollymore Mountain Centre and Sport Northern Ireland are holding a two day conference for outdoor activity instructors and enthusiasts on the 24 and 25 November 2008.

The focus of the conference will be –

    * To look at “challenge, risk and adventure in the light of public perceptions of liability” and explore the issues arising from the growing interest in what are deemed to be risk activities.
    * How we can encourage under-represented groups to participate more in adventure activities.

This conference is for outdoor instructors and enthusiasts and will give participants insights in to some of the current issues faced by the outdoor industry both within the voluntary and commercial sectors.

The conference will be open to both centre managers and instructors – however, places are limited to 120 delegates. Therefore – if the conference is over-subscribed Sport Northern Ireland reserves the right to limit the number of delegates from any one establishment or organisation.
