In the Feb 2007 issue of Climber Magazine, Marmot gave the opportunity to four readers to have an all expenses paid photography instruction weekend in the Peak District with professional photographer, Tim Glasby. This unique experience gave participants the opportunity to learn about the tools, techniques and approach needed to take a good climbing shots.

The blustery winds, occasional showers and fluctuating light levels did not however, deter anyone (Lucy and Tim's dog Kodo, also remained enthusiastic). Even Richard, with 20 years of photography experience, could not claim to have taken photos whilst hanging freely from a rope! On the Sat evening, some took up the opportunity to go bouldering with Lucy and Neil while others sat down with Tim to analyse the days work on the Lap top. The competition winners made the most of the fine weather on Sunday too, with plenty of time to experiment with the new skills they had learnt. On behalf of Marmot K2-UK would like to thank our friend, Tim Glasby for running the course and Lucy and Neil for their patience! Also thanks to the prize winners for being such great sports and great company over the weekend. The full article can be viewed in the August 07 edition of Climbers Magazine, on sale in major newsagents and outdoor retailers.
