SKI TOURING
Over in Switzerland the ski touring season is in full swing, with great conditions for touring up high. We still have spaces on two of our more advanced Haute Routes - the Oberland Ski-Mountaineering Traverse starting April 7th and the West Oberland Haute Route starting on April 14th. The first is great if you like to combine your touring with high summits, while the second is the most highly rated ski tour in Switzerland. SUMMER ALPINE
The summer season is not far away - time to get fit! Throughout the spring we offer Alpine Training in the Lake District and North Wales, as well as rock climbing in the Peak District in May. This training can enable you to 'aim high' for your alpine holiday - maybe one of our 'Technical' range of Alpine courses. These are challenging weeks in the finest alpine areas, some focussing on high, serious summits and some on top quality alpine routes of a more technical nature.

New this year is Technical Ascents Central Switzerland which takes place in the Urner Alps, the magical granite region east above the Furka Pass. It is worth noting that these courses cost little more than half the price of 1:1 guiding yet offer challenging and adventurous alpine holidays for experienced climbers.

EXPEDITIONS - TIEN SHAN
ISM leads the field in exploring the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, and this year we will be the first expedition to visit the remote Torugart range on the border with China. There will be opportunities to attempt virgin peaks at all standards, and anyone with alpine experience can apply to join the trip (which takes place during the first 3 weeks of September).
